This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     It didnt used to be like this. However it is becoming more common when I shut my computer down and I know that forcing my computer to turn off by holding the power button is not good for it.

    What are some of the issues that I can check for myself?

    It is windows XP. I will be updating to windows 7 probably in June.
