My T400 will come with 2GB of RAM, but in 1 stick or 2?

I'd like to upgrade to 4GB of RAM as soon as I can, so I want to know if I need to buy only one stick of 2GB or two. Thanks!

Depends on the ordered configuration: if it says "2GB - 1DIMM," you can just add another 2GB stick. If, however, it says "2GB - 2DIMMs," then you'll have to buy 2 2GB sticks to replace both the 1GB sticks in there.

That's OK, because you got the cheaper cost in the end. When I look, 1x2->2x1 is $40. You can get 2x2 on newegg for about $60, vs the 1x2 for $30.

Yeah, it should. Crucial is a good brand and as long as the RAM has lifetime warranty you should be fine. I just upgraded mine to 4GB yesterday with these(was 49.99) when I bought them...

Like miner said, get one that has a lifetime warranty.
