It'll be here in a few days! I'm getting excited!
It's a 2613EJU - 1.83GHz Core Duo, 15in FlexView screen, 100GB 7200RPM HDD, 1GB RAM, DVD-Burner, and x1400 GPU.
I'll be writing up a review once I get it, so be prepared.

That's strange, I wasn't aware of any T60p with X1400. I also can't find the model number you posted via searching. Is this a custom model for an institution? If so, I'd be interested to find its full specifications.
-
Thats cause the model mumber is missing a character.
-
The U!
Oops.
It's fixed now. -
oh man, im dying to get mine. i had an est. ship date of today, but it says my order is "in process" that doesn't look good for me.
good luck with yours, im real excited for mine

Strangly enough I can't find 2007B27 either. dooho would you mind describing the specs of that model as well, or where you could find it?
-
The estimated ship date on mine was 7/04/06. I'm very excited it was shipped early.
Best of luck with yours, as well! -

Congrats on your purchase, hope you like it. -

-
My T60 is going to arrive today. I order the 80GB 512MB 14.1" CD-RW/DVD-ROM Windows XP Professional - 2623D4U with free shipping on Wednesday night and somehow it's on Fedex to the way here
-
I didn't remember, I did a lot of recommendations, it's hard to keep track of them. ^^;
I'm glad I was able to help you out back then. =) -
yeah i wasn't expecting you to, you certainly work hard on this board.
but i did want to thank you regardless, i really think this is the best machine for what i need it for. this blows the m90 away...and i don't have to deal with dell to boot!! and its friday and a pay-day!
have a great weekend everyone! -
I can only assume Smith meant T60 since it has the x1400, T60p has a Fire GL. Yay! I can annoyingly correct people!
-
EDIT: Ugh...how dumb of me.
How do you like your ThinkPad? -
Nu hu! No you didn't! ;-) I have a T60 2613EAU which is most definitively not a T60p (not that 2613 can't be). Everywhere I look in the June tabook, every T60p is FireGL V5200 256MB card. Some pages like the one where the 2623 is, which appears to be the updated 2613, has T60's and T60p's. You'll notice that it explicitly lists them as T60 and T60p...and the T60p has the FireGL. Obviously I don't have the older tabook or I'd look for the model you listed and debunk based on that...but I do what I can!
The only reason I'm spending time arguing this point is that I can't find any other difference! Why would they call one the T60 and one the T60p if there wasn't a significant difference? You can get a Flexview on a normal T60...3 year warranty? I have 3 years on my T60...what's the difference then? (frustrated face goes here!)
I think my Thinkpad is wonderful...of course I'm comparing it to my old Inspiron (ick!) which I never had a problem with except for the day I got it, it had Windows Me on it. The Inspiron was just a big plastic block...not very nice. I mainly didn't like all the plastic flex in the chassis. So T60 didn't have much to overcome! Still, it is way nicer than any consumer notebook I look at in the stores, and cheaper (a friend's EPP) for the contents. -
HUH! How silly of me! My mind keeps slipping...I've been sitting here thinking that the difference between a T60 and a T60p was a 14 inch versus 15 inch screen. Wow...I feel very dumb now. Time for me to scuttle away and crawl into a corner. :/
Yeah, I got mine through EPP, as well. I also had/have an Inspiron! Mine's not too bad, but the plastic of it's really starting to get to me. It feel so soft and cheap...I can't wait for my T60 (NOT P hahaha) to show up. -
thank you UPS!! i don't think i've ever looked forward to a monday more than this...the t60p is on its way from anchorage, due in monday!!
-
Ahh...yeah! Mine recently left Anchorage and is in Kentucky!
I have a feeling that it's going to arrive just as I'm leaving for a week... :/
Get a review of yours up while I'm gone. -
Yes! It arrived today!
My first impression was great. The whole thing just feels so solid once you pick it up. It's a little more plasticy than I had anticipated, but it doesn't feel cheap at all. There might be a plastic covering, but you can definitely feel the solid support of the mag alloy underneath. It also runs very cool and the screen's very bright (FlexView).
So far I'm quite impressed, I'll be writing up a review with benchmarks, etc. soon.
My T60p has been shipped.
