    This is turning out to be one of the best laptop purchases I've ever made. I've owned Dells and Sonys before, and I've never been this pleased with a system.

    What's your video memory size reported in "Display Properties"?
    I don't think FireGL V5200 comes with hypermemory, or does it?

    7200rpm or 5400rpm?

    The idle noise in the 7200.1 Seagate Momentus is probably the only thing you can hear in a T60, at least that is all that I can hear on mine, except for the fan of course when it is on. Hitachi also makes a 7200 RPM, the 7K100. I believe both are comparable in terms of noise, although the Seagate is quieter on seeks (load noise).
