My T61P :D

so to my surprise, this morning in my inbox there was an e-mail from lenovo stating my package has been shipping

apparently it's in Incheon, Korea right now, and i have 2 day shipping, so hopefully it will be here by thursday/friday. and i just ordered ram yesterday, so maybe they will be delivered at the same time.

yay i'm excited

It's got to clear customs, then the shipping clock starts. I personally find it's best not to look. Otherwise you're just driving yourself crazy, which for me is a minimum cab fare ride.

 

hahaha. yea, i know i'm driving myself crazy, but i definitley wasn't expecting to see "shipped 6/9" this morning. atleast i know it's going to be here at the end of this week or the beginning of next week.

Cool. I knew that you would get it soon. I got mine in like 10 days and that is with the tough to get 9 cell battery. I think you will love it. Post pics and a review if you can.

What's the story behind these Thinkpads shipped from Korea? Afaik, they are all assembled in Shanghai/Shenzen. Is it Lenovo's way to take advantage of a Korean-US FTA deal or something?

I lost my first T61P 14.1" 4:3 and trust me I understand you.

 

How does the size and weight compare to other 15" machines? I've about decided to go with a T61 for a 14" model for those reasons alone, but the T61p does look nice.

Congrats and good luck dude. I have the same configuration except mine is a T61, so it doesn't have the 570m, but everything else is the same (1gb + 2gb corsair - runs fine). Oh, we have different HDD's too, haha
