In customizing my new T500, I couldn't find a desktop wallpaper that I liked. So I made my own -- it's a collage of elements that I liked from other wallpapers, measuring 1680x1050 (and 1440x900).

I've posted it here in case anyone would like to use it as well. :)

Does Lenovo provide you a stipend ;) ? Is it not enough that you have the word ThinkPad physically stamped on your laptop that you need it on your desktop background as well? Does it keep you from forgetting you’re using a ThinkPad ;) ?

    Nice work. Looks very professional.
They look kind of conservative for my taste though. I'd like to see you get a little more creative with it.

The only thing I would change is make it smaller, porportion it better (too stretched out, can tell by the dot in the i is more oval than circular), and angle it in the thinkpad fashion then it would be perfect.

Not yet, but here's hoping *crosses fingers* ;)

You give me too much credit. This is my wild, creative side

I didn't want to touch the dot in the i too much, as it's the trackpoint in the keyboard image. Initially, I had Thinkpad angled, but I didn't like it as much as I do now.

I initially didn't see that. I might just get rid of it. :D

    Thanks. :)

    Very nice! Thanks!

Now for the inevitable requests... :D

    (1) Could you make it in 1280x800?
    (2) Could you just have the word "Think"?
    (3) Could you put it against a fading grey background?

I am asking a lot, I know! But you did do an excellent job! So, could not resist!

    It would be perfect!!!!!

Unfortunately, can't do it now because I'm busy with school. I can do a simple resize for you, but I'm not sure if I still have the component pics.

Looks really good, and I think I'll try it on my T400 and X200 for a while... hehe. The only thing I'd change would be to make the ThinkPad logo on the bottom right smaller, or remove it entirely. Other than that little nitpick, this is something that looks like it came directly from Lenovo on a new system. Great job!
