Just to let you know, I've had problems with attaching another monitor to my W500. There is issues with dual-display with this video card.

Error reads: "Display driver failed to respond but has recovered"

    driver name: amdkmdap

A lot of people are having the same issue and there apparently is no fix.

Let me know if you get the same thing.

Nice the W500 seems like an awesome deal right now. Makes me want to cancel my T400 order and get it now which I did.

However I'm still really interested in the LED screen. Maybe I'll wait till the holiday season and hope that it comes out by then.

Anybody knows how these sub 40% off deals are going to last?

This Deal was a mistake, the coupon should have been expired, if you wait for the LED, youll probably get around the same price, dont worry.

With the new W500 options appearing on the Lenovo website + USX14MOREW500, the prices have gone down by almost another $100!

Wish I had waited one more week before ordering my W500!

Price quotes based on configuring the 'new' W500 will give you the further ~$100 discount but unfortunately for me, my configuration is not included in the 'new' models!!!

    Arrgh!

The actual problem is that thinkpad users experiencing flex are just complaining about it everywhere else apart from that official lenovo forum.
I think Lenovo already did a GREAT effort in admitting the flaw, but I don't think they'll come 'out' to read all the forums concerning the keyboard. ( That will be too much for them hahaha)

But in a way, you guys are right too.
The flaw shouldn't have existed in the first place!

I cant wait either to read that review. I am also thinking of buying that laptop.

My only worries is the GPU, ATI Mobility FireGL V5700 (is that what you meant by ATI 3650 Open GL Version?). What do you guyz think about that card ?

I thought that if anything, the card would be the fastest that Lenovo offers; it's just a matter of how good the drivers are for it.

I saw some benchmarks that said it benched faster than the card the T500 offers, no?
