    Hi,

I just received my Lenovo Y500 Model (59371973) in the mail which claimed its resolution was 1080p. When I turned it on, I was shocked to find out that it is in fact only 1366x768 resolution.
I looked online and didn't find any other relevant piece of information of this happening to anyone else, and was wondering if it's a problem with my software and I need to update drivers or something, or if they just had faulty information on the site.

Here is the Model Details on the website: IdeaPad Y500 15.6" Laptop | Shop | Lenovo | (CA)

    Thank you,

    Dan

You can try and update the GeForce drivers but if you don't see 1080p in the setting most likely they sent you the wrong laptop ..

They did or do sell a version with a 768p screen. What was the model number of your system? I would look back at your confirmation emails and see if it says 59371973 (your link). And then you can look at the box too and see what it says for the specs there. Unfortunately their exchange process seems to just be a "return and buy" situation. But they will honor the price you paid if there has been price changes since then.

Buy the 1080p one and lower the resolution when playing games...

Never looks quite as good gaming on non-native res.
