About a month ago I got a T510. It came with problems: for instance, after shutdown it automatically rebooted, the rear USB port often failed to work, wireless sometimes failed to work, video driver crashes.
I figured with updated drivers, new BIOS, and a change in Win 7 settings I could eventually get things straight. But I couldn't so I called IBM support. I did what they recommended (reimage, then got new disks from them to reimage, messed around more with every possible Win 7 setting, etc).
Eventually I sent it back for repair as they said I should after doing what they said I should do. They claimed to have installed a new motherboard and reimaged the HD and perform a full testing of everything.
I got the machine back and it had the exact same problems as before!. That is, they never actually tested the machine after doing whatever they did to see if they had fixed the machine. As a bonus they reimaged with Win 7 32-bit rather than the 64-bit I had before.
Sigh.
My experience can't be typical can it? If others have had similar bad experiences what have you done?

No, that is quite unusual. I would call up Lenovo and tell them what happened. That is unacceptable. Especially your machine being a month old, I'd be fairly upset.
I remember when I got my T61 a few years back my WiFi would be turning on and off randomly, and I guess this is a common thing with these Thinkpads. Just do a quick search here and there is MANY threads about peoples WiFi randomly shutting off, then turning on again. The rear USB port, and video drivers I can't help you with though. I guess your just one of the unfortunate few that got stuck with a not so perfect machine.
Hopefully Lenovo will make it right for you !!

I agree. Of course you should call!

Try uninstalling the access connection and just use win 7 wifi manger.
