Well, I checked some friends' Thinkpads and they seem still pretty good, especially regarding the heat (my present tecra s2 is really bad in this point). I was particular surprised when one friend told me he had never turned off his one year old T60 (just rebooted few times), and even so was running smoothly. And I like the no-apple-fancy design :p . Serious, I can’t imagine life with a macbook which you can’t use your own ordinary screw drive to change a dawn ram memory by yourself without specialized assistance. Besides, trackpoint rules!
