I live in Alaska and was told that i cannot get free shipping because they don't have ground shipping to Alaska and charged me $48 for shipping. But the tracking info shows me now that it is being shipped from HK and is in transit. What difference does it make if its being shipped to Alaska or Texas if its directly comming to me? You can't ground ship the ocean anyway.
Is there a point calling the customer service and asking for a refund?

They are just doing a drop-shipping, instead of shipping it toward a warehouse first, they ship it to you right at the factory point. After all, all tp and tc are made in CHINA :budget:
Since custom clearence is quicker in HK... so, -
Likely what will happen is the standard deal...
Everytime a Thinkpad comes to the US , it gets stuck in Kentucky for at least a day or 2 being inspected by the FDA (no joke, this is what the UPS tracking shows). *THEN* it will probably go airmail from Kentucky to Alaska....
Just my humble interpretation.... -
mine stuck somewhere on earth. don't know where exactly. my z60t still hasn't arrive yet.
