Randomly when I am using my Thinkpad T510, the touchpad will stop working. The cursor will not move, but I can still click with the buttons on the bottom. Usually, I can turn it back on by using a multitouch gesture (like pinch zoom), but in some cases, I have to log off the account and log back in.

Try re-installing the ultranav driver and software.
    That's what I did with my T410.

    hope this helps.
