I want to buy a laptop only for professional work (Delphi, SQL Server, MySQL, PHP, ASP, Flash...). I am between these tree laptops:

    1.) IBM Lenovo 3000 N100 P-C 1.83GHz/512 MB/15.4"/80GB TY04BGC
    http://www.play247.gr/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=3716

    2.)ΙBM Lenovo ThinkPad Z60M P-M 1.86GHz/512 MB/15.4"/80GB UH3FBGC
    http://www.play247.gr/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=2982

    3.) IBM Lenovo ThinkPad Z60M P-M 2.0GHz/1024 MB/15.4"/100GB UH3ERGC
    http://www.play247.gr/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=3461

In the first two I will buy extra 512 RAM.
My basic question is what model I should take, a 3000 N100 or a ThinkPad. The first one has T2400 1.83 Dual Core, the other two Centrino. The N100 3000 is better because of the CPU. The third one has 1680 x 1050. So I ask you for the use I want it, the Centrino will be “OK” for me and I buy the “professional” series or the ThinkPad compare to 3000 N100 has no substantially difference in the quality and so I buy the Dual Core.

PS. Sorry for my bad English, I am from Greece

i was in ur situation once...
but ppl in this forum helped me a lot..
    and finally i bought a T60...
But that's because i wanted a thinkpad more than anything..

    2 things...

    1. thinkpad's built quality is far superior, if u really want a well built laptop you should consider it. otherwise i think N100 is pretty good too atleast for the price and config.

    2. check the screen resolution before you buy. check it for urself. don't guess. because.. i took the best screen i could afford but now everyhing is too small for me. i should've taken lesser resolution. anyways.. as u r gonna do a lots of proffessional work on it. i think screen resolution is a big factor.

    GooD LucK !

    Then make it bigger...

On the desktop, right cllick to get Display Properties
    Press Settings
    Advanced
change DPI setting to Large (120)
    Apply - OK - OK
    Reboot

There ya go... then if its too big or small, go back there again and try a custom setting til you get what you like.
Oh, you may also change the Font Size on the Appearance tab of Display Properties

    LoL.. thanks SkiBunny..
    I know.. already tried them...
but the screen looks dull and feels uncomfortable to my eyes...

and after a while i'm getting used to the bigger resolution.
when i remotely open my desktop window in my laptop..
it opens in a small window and justifies the "window" name.. it looks so cool...
