Does anybody know of a way to contact Lenovo without going through their stupid support form, which just auto-replies telling me that my machine is out of its software support period?

It doesn't seem like anybody from Lenovo reads their own forum.

I'm now rather sick of this problem: Simply put, XD is not supported by the BIOS on this machine (I thought perhaps it was just a problem with the inisialisation sequence for this particular CPU, a T5250, but I've seen reports of the same with other CPUs and from what I've gathered on other sites, this bug applies to all N200s, not even just the 15.4"/0769/X3100 chassis I have. Perhaps there's an intentional reason they're not supporting it.)

Normally, this wouldn't be a problem, but I run Mac OS, which requires XD to run an unmodified kernel. I know XD is fairly trivial as a CPU feature (and I really wouldn't care if it weren't for OS X.)

Lenovo isn't going to help you if your not running the OS that came on the machine. I don't know what good contacting them is going to do for you. Your best shot for getting this fixed is probably a BIOS update if one's available.

Also we don't discuss violating Apples OS X EULA here. If you want this type of information you'll have to get it somewhere more permissive of this type of discussion. Good Luck.
