    Hi -

Has anyone tried the N200 yet? I'm looking for a notebook under $1000 with the santa rosa platform for basic office, email, internet applications. Is it similar to the n100? How is it compared to other laptops i.e. hp dv2500?

    Thanks

    Jeff

Awesome, just looking at this now. Top of the line N200 comes with a T7500, Vista Ultimate, 1680x1050 15.4 inch glossy lcd, 256mb Nvidia 7300 (only bad part), 2 gigs of Ram, 160 gig HD, DVD RW, BT, fingerprint reader, and Wireless N, all for $1600 MSRP. I'm anxiously awaiting the review.

Out of all the things on the N200, the part that surprised me the most was "2gb" of ram gets you a single 2gb stick, not 1gb x 2 (which would be about 3-4 times cheaper). So you really do get a massive bang for your buck on this thing.
