look at the T400, the T9300 is now a +150$ option, an the T9600 is +450$ option.

So, T9300 is 300$ cheaper. And finally, a T9600 option shows up.

    %$! lenovo!

That is a pretty solid deal on the T9300.

    T9300 + 4 gb RAM + Vista BSNSS 64 bits + 200 gb 7200 rpm + LED= 1835$.

    sweeeeeeet.

I think you all mean T9400... not T9300...?

T9300 was the old Santa Rosa 800Mhz bus, the T9400 is for montevina, 1066Mhz bus.

Is the T9400 really worth the extra $100 compared to the P8600.
Can it really make a difference, I mean a significant different in video encoding or image processing? (I will add 4Gb of RAM)

I am torn between those 2. I like to always get the best for my lappy.

I thought that the P8600 was the newest CPU from intel.

If i'm not wrong, it worth it. The T processors (talking about Intels CPU, no thinkpad T series by the way) recieved a refresh. They used to be 800 mhz, now they are 1000 nhz.

    Correct if í'm worng pleassse

My order (with a P8600) is apparently in production, but the ship date varies wildly from rep to online... would it be worth canceling my order and getting a T9400 (for a similar deal)? I placed my order about a week ago.

Definitely not a significant difference. And if you're doing hardcore encoding you can nearly get a whole desktop Quad Core processor for the price of the (insignificant) upgrade.

How should one go about getting the price match? Do I just call in with my order number and a quote number?

And is that 21 day from the day of order or day of shipment?
