I’m in the process of replacing the original hard drive in my second hand, 2 year old T60 with a 7200, 320G Seagate. I’ve put on it 4 partitions, C for 50G. ALL are NFTS. The original drive has a C image on it which I hope to transfer to the new Seagates C and operate with the original OS. The original drive is Fat 32. Will the Fat 32 be able to transfer into the NFTS partition or should I make the new C Fat 32 first? I’ll be using DiskDirector or PartitionMagic which I’ve used a lot in the past. The image of the original C is True Image 10. Also should I make an image of the original drives emergency install partition? I normally make an image BU once a week mainly so I don’t have to go through the hassle of reloading a lot of stuff and it’s so easy to go back to a particular time. TIA

Leave it as-is and use the Windows command line tool to convert the FAT32 partition to NTFS later.

Thanks for the response. That's what I ended up doing and all worked out fine.
