    Hello guys,

I got an error message "NTLDR Missing" when I tried to boot up my T60, which prevented me from going into windows.

I don't know if I have accidentally deleted this boot up file (was cleaning up my C drive earlier)

I checked my BIOS boot order and it's "USB FDD"

I was wondering if there is an easy way to fix this problem.

    thank you so much,
    josh

Are you using XP or Vista? The solution varies depending on what version of Windows you are using, as Vista boots in an entirely different way. For now, check out the info in this link:

If you have, a Windows Vista CD/DVD, you can boot that and attempt to repair that.

Wait, why is FDD your first option in boot? It should be HDD

NTLDR suggests Windows XP. Vista uses a different boot mechanism and doesn't store boot information in ini files, etc.

The USB FDD option should not be a problem - the computer will try to boot off the devices in order, but as long as there is no USB FDD with a non-bootable floppy in it, there should be no problem skipping that.

That said, try putting your primary HDD to the first option. If it still doesn't boot, try using the XP install CD to fix it. I think it had a fix option (at least recovery console).
