Hi all, I am just 1 click away from ordering the T430 but has stumble upon this concern. Has anyone ever heard of the "NVIDIA N13P-NS1 Optimus Graphics with 1GB DDR3 Memory" that is available on the new Ivy bridge T430/T430s. I am not sure if this is worth the $250 difference since the default Intel HD4000 currently has very decent benchmark numbers and reviews (like this)

I am also afraid this might be shared memory which means its just gonna be a marginal upgrade from the HD4000. For work I use several cadence CAD programs while for play I wish to play Diablo 3 at least with moderate but dont expect high resolution/detail. Any input is welcome. thanks!!

On the T430s, the GPU upgrade is $330.

it seem only the T530 get the NVS5400M treatment which I desperately wanted.
the T430 and T430s only get the NVIDIA N13M-NS. (and yes the T430s need $330 instead of $250 for T430, ?!?!)

from further research, the NVIDIA N13M-NS seems like a cousin version of the 610M. (they seem to share driver) which confuse the hell out of me because it seem like an awful card for a lot of money.

The T430s (i5 only) is limited to the N13M-NS which should be the NVS5200M. The T430/530 can be equipped with the N13P-NS1 which should be the NVS5400M.

Edit: Now I'm not sure. The T430 product site lists the dGPU as NVS5400M, same goes for the T530. However only the T530 configuration explicitly states the 5400M card. Can anyone verify that the T430 indeed has the 5400?

Edit: http://listing.driveragent.com/c/pci/10de/0def I would say it is 5400

I am typing this message on a T430s. Ubuntu identifies the graphics card as an NVidia Quadro 600 (a class 3 graphics card).

I ordered my T430 about a year ago so I can't speak to what they are selling now, but my T430 definitely has the NVS5400m.
