Anyone using a wuxga (1920 x 1200) external display with a laptop that has the NVIDIA Quadro NVS 140M graphics card?

The specs for the 140M say max digital display is 1600 x 1200 and max analog 2048 x 1536.

I guess you have to run it off the analog channel and thus can't have two wuxga external displays?

    thanks.

Maximum Resolution: 2048 x 1536 Pixels, Where did you read you can only get 1600 x 1200 out of the dvi?

How would you test it? I didn't think the Lenovo's had external DVI connectors on any of their laptops.

Regarding two displays, have you seen http://www.matrox.com/graphics/en/gxm/products/dh2go/digital/home.php ???

I believe you use the docking station, it has both a DVI and analog out.

What resolution are you running it at KnightUnit? Will it let you set the resolution higher than 1600 x 1200?

I personally was able to get WSXGA+ (1680x1050) thru the DVI. However, I would like to know if WUXGA (1920x1200) is possible.

My T61 (NVS 140) works great with the Dell 2407 at 1920x1200.
Even my old T40p could handle that resolution!

Nacman, is that using the DVI or VGA? I know that the VGA can handle even higher than that, but my concern in the DVI since NVIDIA's website shows 1600x1200 MAX.

    I am using DVI.
With the T40p I had to use alternative drivers to run the high resolution but with the T61 I had absolutly no problems.

This guy has the 30" Dell at 2560×1600 with DVI:

I run dual Samsung 245BW's with the 140M. I had issues with non standard resolution support for my Panny TH-50PH9 at home to get 1366x768, but they have resolved that in more recent driver release.

It works great for me. However, I have issues with hardware profiles remembering the proper resolutions and layout. It's annoying, but I use the profiles with Nview (not sure if that's the name or not) to get around it.

If by chance you ever installed a hacked inf from laptopvideo.com, I would recommend you fully clean out your old drivers before using the drivers off the lenovo site.

To reiterate, I have no issues running 1920x1200 on both monitors. You may have to calibrate the analog one though.

I have an old 21" Sony Trinitron that I run from my Compaq at 1280 X 1024 32bit color. Will I be able to run the same resolution/color when I buy my new Lenovo that has the nVIDIA Quadro NVS 140M?

Docking bay, of course. Model would be the R61 Lenovo.
