Hi everyone, Im having a difficult time getting past Step 2 of the Clean install that Stallen created. Partly because his clean Install is for T60 series. My new T500 has lots of different parts.

Step 1: I completed all of these backed up everything on 11cd's and a HDD.

Step 2: The Driver website he links us to is for ALL 900 series. Do I have 900 series? How do I find out?

How Do I know if I have turbo memory?

Wow. 11cds? Don't you have DVDs?

Well, you could also refer to the XP clean install guide by Arkit3kt. The trick won't be to install the exact same drivers, but the types. If in his guide he says to install the Intel Chipset, then you do the same, etc. And I personally always install the Active Protection and the battery management thing.

You can check if you have the 900 series from the bottom of the laptop. The serial numbers and such.

I don't know about the turbo memory, but from the threads on this forum, it's always been iffy.

Yea dude lol, I found out that I couldnt burn DVD's after I bought a bunch of DVD+-R's lol. But the Cd's still get the job done so all is good.

I cant find the serial number. I found the MS product key numbers though

That's odd. Usually they have the Type, Product ID, S/N at the bottom
