    Need Help: T61P Error when going into standby mode.

    Whenever I close my T61P and it goes into standby mode I get that message for EVERY program that is open and everything crashes and after 50 error and fatal ending messages it finally goes into standby mode and then when I open it back up everything it closed down or my start bar and everything is gone and I have to do a restart. I need some help with this one, anyone have any ideas?

    Sounds like bad memory to me. If you have two sticks of memory installed remove one at a time and test to determine which is the bad stick. The reason why standby triggers this is because in order to standby Windows writes resume files to the memory itself.

    I already replaced the memory once before because I was getting bad memory errors. How would I go about testing the memory? I did have a 3 year warranty with Lenovo but after I owned it for a year they all of a sudden switched my records to a year warranty and said it was already expired when I asked about them looking into it.
