I am planning to order an R-Series from Lonovo and I was wondering which 2 would be worth the money .... the R60 or the R60e

They are the same build quality wise. The optical drive is fixed to the chassis on the R60e so there are no modular options. The R60e doesn't have a touchpad either. Without knowing your budget or what you plan to do with it, it's kind of hard to help.

my buget can be very low or up to like $4,000 or $5,000 but other then the prices ... i'll be using the computer mostly for typing up workd stuff using the basic program of office like word, excel, power point and a little occational web browsing doesn't matter with or without wireless and a little movie watching on long bus or train rides to differnet cities

I think better not choose r60e unless you have a really tight budget. Look for r60 instead.
