I just received my new 14" T43 and am enjoying it very much. I forgot to order a case for it, however, and so I've been browsing the web trying to find something suitable. My main requirement is for the bag to be very compact and portable , but with space for the AC adapter and perhaps a CD or two. I've looked at the top loading variety, but I think I'd like a bag that unzips and folds open (not sure what that style is called). Any recommendations?

Ah! I was trying to figure out what you meant - perhaps a messenger bag? www.ebags.com is a pretty good site. free shipping, low-to-normal prices, free returns, and a fairly good search method and good selection. They also have good pictures. Highly recommended.
www.neweggg.com has some pretty good deals on some pretty good bags. What they really have going for them, though, is excellent pictures. If you already have a backpack you like, consider keeping it and getting one of the cases offered at www.shinza.com. I've never seen one, but people seem to love them.
Another suggestion is to actually get one of the bags IBM/Lenovo sells. They should be good, and they're not flashy.
Best,

Yeah, I think you do mean a messenger bag -- not a backpack right? www.sfbags.com, www.mobileedge.com and www.tombihn.com are three sites that make bags i like, check 'em out.

what bag do you use? I was considering the Thinkpad Organizer bag from Targus.

I purchased the Dell Leather laptop bag. I have the smallest version and my T43 14" fits perfectly. I purchased the bag on Ebay for $30 with shipping. The bag is very nice and the only good product Dell sells. Dell laptops are worthless, this is a political statement....
Need a case for my T43 14"
