    Hi, I am really considering buying the ibm t42 notebook. with the 14.1 inch screen and 1400/1000 resoultion. I will take this computer to class all of the time. Is this the right notebook to get? Can anyone suggest other good college notebooks? Thanks!

    That is what I'm looking at as well. I've got an R40 with a 15" display and want to sell it and get a T42 with 1.8Ghz, 1400x1050 display nad the radeon 9600.
