    Hey guys,

I am having a problem that I have no idea how to fix. I just got my x200 a few days ago and promptly downgraded using my own XP disk and downloaded drivers from the website. I followed the directions on the clean install thread but have yet to complete all the driver installs because I simply cannot find them on the site!

Can you guys tell me what the following are/ where I can find the drivers?
    PCI Simple Communications Controller
    SM BUS Controller

Anyway, my biggest problem right now is that when playing video content or music, the sound periodically sounds very garbled and sounds like it is really slow. This only occurs for 3-4 seconds but occurs every 5 min I would say. Needless to say - it is annoying! Any advice?!?!

I am having similar problems except I rebooted with vist. I also read and followed clean vista install thread.
    What I did:
I upgraded my hard drive and installed a fresh new copy of Vista. I tried installing all the drivers but every application(.exe) file would only unzip the files and not install everything together. I would have to go in manually to install each driver. So after doing this, a couple of drivers don't do anything. My wireless is one of the drivers that isn't working properly.

I need some help too! Please!

    Thanks in advance!

deekoi...yours is easy. Just go on intel's website and get your wifi drivers. Vista should detect your wired connection. From there you just need to figure out what drivers to use and try them.

Itrich...the ones you mentioned are related to the chipset drivers. There SHOULD be drivers but I am not sure if they are on the lenovo site. Perhaps a user who got the XP downgrade can help you out with drivers. Also...sound driver probably :p.
