If anyone here have the i7 x220, can you please post your idle heat temps and your real time battery life for either the 6 or 9 cell batteries?

Much appreciated on the feedback guys!

idle heat temp is around 40 degrees, and battery life of around 8 hrs for word processing and web surfing with 9 cells on battery saver mode.

6 cell battery gets me about 5 hours now. I'll note my battery has worn down 20% already since I got it in May. In hindsight, I would have gone with the greater weight of the 9 cell, in exchange for less battery wear.

With the latest bios, the laptop is silent with web browsing and word processing.

Temperature: idle at around 45C-50C, single-threaded stress at around 80C, full stress with LinX = 97C.

Battery life: idle (web surfing and word processing) for around 8 hours (9-cell), single-threaded stress for around 4 hours, full stress with Webgl Water = 2 hours.

Not sure how to measure temperature, but solid 6 hours on 6 cell battery with mainly word processing and some internet reading.
