    Need help IBM Thinkpad A31

    I got an IBM Thinkpad A31 used, and installed Windows XP Pro on it. At that time the battery worked for an hour and a half sometimes more. Recently, when I installed Windows 2000 Pro instead due to sluggish performance, the battery would only work for about 2 minutes after unplugged from the Ac adapter.

    Any Ideas?
