    Need help from W510 users...

    I'm trying to fix my bios. The bios lost it's SLIC table due to a bad flash of the 1.12 flash under Windows 7 x64. This is well known now and has happened to the T410 and other users too. Lenovo has pulled all of the 1.12 bios files.

    Anyway, I need someone to dump the SLIC table from their bios. There is nothing specific to your machine in this table. I just need a dump of it so I can see if there is some way I can put it back.

    You can download the SLIC Toolkit here: http://www.bios.net.cn/Files/soft/biosfile/qt/SLIC_ToolKit_V3.2.rar

    Once you download the EXE, run it as administrator, save the SLIC bin file from the first tab. If you can post that here or send it to me, let me know and I'll shoot my email address to you.

    Thanks! My only other alternative is to send this machine to Lenovo, and I don't want to do that.

    Will removing/unplugging the BIOS battery possibly help? Probably not...
    Anyway, I'll be getting mine in a couple of weeks. If you're not helped before then, count on me.

    Sorry, but if I don't get help tonight, I'm probably returning the notebook tomorrow and getting a new one. But if I can fix it tonight, maybe I can help others fix theirs too.
