Hello, I would like to buy a furbished T400 at lenovo outlet, which seems a very good deal. I have a few questions:

    1. If you buy a new one, it automatically comes 1Year Depot Warranty if you dont choose anything else.
Does this apply to refurbished thinkpad?

    2. Can I return a furbished thinkpad? It is obviously true that I can return a new one and maybe I have to pay a restocking fee.

    3. Any coupon applicable at lenovo outlet? :)

I did not see such info on the website and failed to see it during the checkout process (I am one button away from ordering it).

This is my first time doing so and I would like to hear your thoughts. Is this a safe way to buy thinkpads? Other thoughts?

Here is the link of Lenovo outlet: http://stores.channeladvisor.com/LenovoOutlet

    Your input is greatly appreciated!!!

    Cheers.

Yes they have a one year warranty.

I believe you can return an Outlet purchase, but you will have to pay the restocking fee.

I don't think Lenovo uses coupons in the Outlet.

I've bought a few ThinkPads in the Outlet for others. They looked new to me, but YMMV.

You just have to look through all the available ones and copy/paste info of each one you are interested in and then come back to think through. it seems the outlet shopping cart only allows you to store one deal.

Looks like a great deal, I would probably pick up a 6 or 9 cell battery for her if shes taking it to class for long periods of time. You will likely see ~ 2-2.5 hours with that 4 cell.

Looks like a nice machine, but I like the R series for better value if you don't need the GPU or WWAN. I think if wait until some coupons come along and they surely will, you could pick up a R series notebook with a P series CPU, which offers better battery life, for less. Look in the Outlet too. Sometimes there's very good deals there too.

I hope to find 6-cell T400 with similar specs, but was unable to find it. Maybe sometime such a deal would come, but who knows.

I have some thinking about choosing this specs. The reason that that 4-cell battery does not worry me too much is that it replaceable.
I may be able to buy one new with great coupon and sell the current one on ebay. The fact that the specs has an integrated graphics does
not worry me either, since i dont want a game machine for my daughter. Because it has 9400 CPU and great other compoents it can last long time (I hope :)).
Maybe someday I can get it back for my software development :) and that is why I chose a T machine.
