how come i can't reformat and install win xp pro like what I did on a normal desktop, just load in the CD, press any key to boot from CD.. and start from there??

after the blue screen for win xp finish loading, press ENTER to enter setup i keep getting:

Setup did not find any hard disk drives installed in your computer (but during bios the Hitachi HDD was displayed.. obviously could detect)

Make sure your hard disk drives are powered on and properly connected to your computer (its on board, default by lenovo)

Setup cannot continue. To quit Setup, press F3 (only 1 option anyway)

    settled.

Press F1 when restart, change the SATA option from AHCI to Compatible, in this way, when boot up with CD, Win XP will recognize the hard drive

    thx for help!
