    I'm wondering which card is better, ATI mobility radeon 3470 (256Mb) on T400 vs. Quadro FX 570 (128Mb) on T61p(mobile workstation).

    depends on the usage. the ATI card is a gaming card, the Quadro card (made by Nvidia) is designed for CAD/rendering etc.

    Just because the Quadro is "made" for CAD/rendering doesn't mean its a good candidate for gaming. I believe the Quadro FX 570 is the same as a 8600 GT...

    I think the version of the Quadro FX 570 in the 14" version of the T61p is different from the 15" version. Which version were you looking at?

    so u r saying radeon 3470 (256Mb) would perform better than Quadro FX 570 (128Mb) when playing games, but perform worse when it comes to CAD etc?

    how about 3Dmark, which one would perform better?

    Mine is T61p 14'1 4:3 with FX 570M which has 128Mb dedicated memory.

    I wanna know if Radeon 3470 (256Mb) on T400 is equivalent or better than FX 570M with 128Mb memory.

    It's a decent amount worse. As said above the FX 570M (basically) = 8600M GT, which is comparable to the HD 3650, which in turn is far better than the HD 3470.
