I'm concidering getting a preconfigured t60 http://www.euclidcomputers.com/frameset.cgi?finditem+laptop+Lenovo+2623DAU+yes+no+New+0 here. These are pretty much my desired specs and price range although I would like to uprgade the ram to 1gig. Will adding my own additional ram void the 3 year warranty? The 3 year warranty is a must concidering my last mishap. Also, any other t60 deals i should concider for less with similar specs. I do not want vista!

    Thanks.

Since you can install the stick of ram yourself, you can always un-install it before sending the notebook in for service. In any matter, there are "installation movies" on the Lenovo site for performing user upgrades. I can't see them denying you warranty service for doing something they give you instructions on how to do.

Adding memory will not void the warranty.

I recommend getting one with 14.1" screen. It's lighter and it's normally cheaper and you can add more upgrades later on.
