    hey everyone

if you had ordered the turbo memory seperate to ur orginal purchase ur in luck. when getting the intel turbo memory you guyz must realize that you dont have screws to hold it down right ???

well i have great news for all of you guyz. just call lenovo/ibm they will give them to you for free. they know that their are people who are buying them seperate and would like to install it and they are helping them by sending out the screws for them for FREE. so just call them dont spend any money on fake screw just get the oem ones.

Why would you buy it seperate - instead of haveing them do it when you had them build your laptop?

I am also installing the Turbo Memory myself.
I just order the Screw Kit from Lenovo today for $2.99 which includes the need screws. And they were nice enough to charge me $13 for shipping (cheapest option I was told). This is totally ridiculous  I just want my T61P.

To answer your question when I placed the order over the phone the Lenovo Rep did not offer Turbo Memory to me after telling him I want every option many times. Did not want to modify my order when I realized as a delay in shipping I could not deal with. I take partial blame because I was not fully aware of turbo memory.

Oh my... there are no such thing as fake screws. Just go to a local computer shop or radio shack. you could pick them up for less than a buck. Why spend so much money and wait for them to arrive in the mail???

I know I could find the screws at a local shop somewhere but I just feel better having the proper nylon coated screw in a laptop costing me almost $3,000.
