Hey guys, I have a T530 that I've been using on its own since I bought it. Now I want to use an external monitor with it. It seems like I need some guidance.

I figured out that I need to go to power settings in Windows and change option to "Do Nothing" when I close my lid. This way, the external monitor doesn't go blank.
Now, I need to figure out how to differentiate some settings for the external monitor and the laptop. For instance, I have the 1080P screen on the T530 and I use scaling on that - 125% usually. However, on the external monitor, I want to use 100% zoom for everything. But, if I change all the settings to 100%, then it will also be that way on the laptop itself.

Also, when I do use the laptop on its own (without the external monitor), do I have to change the setting from "Do Nothing" in power settings to "Sleep" every time I disconnect the monitor?

It seems as if the T530's color profile is being mimicked (if that is the right word) on the external monitor. On the laptop, it works great. However, it looks somewhat washed out on the external monitor. Is there a way around this?

Also, what docking stations would you guys recommend?

Sorry if I wasn't clear enough. I'm a bit of a laptop newbie, as you can see :)

    Thanks for any replies.
