I am planning for lenevo s10 . Atom 270, XP Home, 1 GB Ram

Will I be able to run
    Firefox with 10 - 15 tabs open
    Run Avira and Comodo Firewall
    Spybot Spyware
    Dreamweaver CS3
    MS office or Open office

The problem is that I use them simultaneously. Most of the time I will have 10 - 20 tabs in firefox open. Will have 1 or 2 excel sheets and 2 - 3 word documents and dreamweaver open and running.

Will a netbook handle this or do i need to rethink and go for a 12 inch laptop with core 2 duo. But i Love the concept of 10 inch

All that at the same time.... No i dont think so.

Maybe like 7-10 tabs, Office, and Avira+Comodo. It should handle that. Maybe not at top speed though. And switch between what you need to be using. But i dont think all of that at the same time.

    You'd be better off with a 12" Core 2 Duo. ;)

I've had this much stuff running on my One at once when it had XP. (No way it will do it with Vista).

It was alright, but you could tell it was working hard. Definitely tolerable. Why in the world would you need more than 10 tabs open? Haven't you ever heard of bookmarks? If you close a tab after bookmarking it, you can get it back ;) ...lol...

I'll just warn you right now: When Avira is scanning, that's about all you will be able to do. It eats a lot of resources when you've only got 1G of memory and what is, at the end of the day, a single core processor.
