I have two new 'identical' adapters for x200s. When I use one outside home today, it was fine. Now when I use the other at home, it got very hot (so hot you don't want to hold it in hands) only about 15 minutes after being turned on (I found out after 15 min, so could be even less). Here is the strange thing: this particular adapter is the only one I have (among 4) that does not have a manufacture date on it. Wonder what that could mean

Why, from Lenovo, I never buy generic ones. Can this be reason for asking for a replacement?

If it appears to run hotter than the other 3 adapters (same wattage?), you might as well if it seems abnormal.

They are all 65w 20v. I think my t61 adapter has never got so hot even after long use.

if it gets hot so that you feel it is not safe, that is not normal.

call lenovo and ask for a replacement; they definitely will.
