From what it looks like not much change in terms of network performance. I really do hope that Lenovo continues support and creation of new drivers / software for those with Windows XP... I hate Vista. dont get me wrong, its great and all in its features, but for the *business* or *power user*, I really dont think Vista allows customization / tweaking as much as I'd like it to have.

I have removed Access Connections from my system and now I use Vista connection manager. I don't like this Intel software because it does not automatically recognize the type of networks I connect to and the encryption type in use. In Windows all you have to do is just type in the encryption key, the rest is done for you. Access Connections is not a good solution for those who switch networks a lot, especially when little information is available about the newtorks we connect to.

True. However in my particular situation I know that there are common networks that I connect too. All I have to do is Fn+F5 and click the profile for where I am and it does it. I'm sure that Vista / XP are able to do all of this all automatically, but I like the fact that Access Connections provides greater control and can provide more information about the network that you are connected too.
