Just got my X220 4286CTO, yesterday (Aug. 11, 2011). Core I5-2540M with Bluetooth, IPS, 6205 wifi, fingerprint, 7200 320gb, etc.,..

While reading threads about loading newer Intel HD3000 drivers, changing fan speeds, and all, I noticed people mention BIOS versions 1.19 and 1.17, but no mention of 1.20.

    MSINFO32 shows I'm running BIOS LENOVO 8DET50WW (1.20) with date 07/07/2011.

I rebooted and interupted the boot sequence with F1 and confirmed from BIOS setup screen that BIOS is version 1.20.

Is this normal? Or should I be loading a flash rom utility to try to save my BIOS out to .bin file for those that are dealing with issues that may be fixed by newer BIOS?

One of the lenovo forum moderators said that 1.20 was a repackaged 1.19 for manufacturing purposes.

Mine came with v1.20 (i7-2620M, 4GB, 160GB SSD), and I don't get throttling issues. Knock on wood.
