The C200 model is up now on the lenovo site. God I love this beast. Practically every thing I might have complained about with the C100 after owning it for 4 months was fixed/updated. Oh yea, they now have core 2 duo's as well :D

Oh you shall. I love this thing so much :) Glad it kept the good parts, and improved upon all the others. Also nice to see base price hasn't gone up.

Isn't it only a six cell battery compared to the C100's eight cell, though?

That was one of the big reasons I was considering getting a C100.

Edit: also, how's the screen strength? After what my laptop did, laptops with screen flex scare me...

Battery is 2/3 the size, so instead of 6-7 hours, more like 3-4. Screen rigidity is much improved though. Stronger hinges so far.

It's not so much the screen hinges as the strength of the screen itself that I'm concerned with. My last laptop, like most modern designs, had maybe a millimeter of cheap plastic to defend against multi hundred dollar repairs. Despite the fact I'm pretty gentle with my equipment, it failed miserably, quite likely due to stress rather then any sort of abuse... it would flex quite a bit every time I opened and closed it. The result: cracked screen with NO signs of damage on the exterior whatsoever.

That's the whole reason I'm interested in this C200, because if it's like the other Lenovo's I've seen, it's much more solid then most notebooks. Wish I could afford something like my dad's awesome T series Thinkpad, but I can't, so...

Also, is the 3-4 hours with wi-fi and "working" (probably medium) screen brightness? Some days I have two hours of classes I need it for PLUS anything I do during my breaks.
