I just bought a G555 on sale at Fry's for $299. The number 3 on the number pad is real stubborn, and only responds if you press it very hard.
Fry's sold out of them, and I'd rather not wait to send it to Lenovo and have them send it back. Is there an easy DIY fix or something?

The first thing I would do is pop the key off to see if it wasn't put on great or see if the plastic pieces that overlap aren't broken/bent. Pictured here: http://dsnimg.dell.com/images/external/images/Portables/KB%20scissor.JPG

I popped the key off, it appears fine. It presses down fine, but only responds if you press extra hard. Boooo
