My wife ordered me a Z580 15.6" to replace my pos sony that has multiple problems. This will be a Christmas present from her we ordered it on Cyber Monday. I ordered a Logitech Bluetooth Mouse. I noticed in best buy has lap top cases that are suppose to help reduce heat. Is heat an issue with these and if it is do these cases work? I would like a silicone style case if one is made that will fit my laptop. Any suggestions?

    Thanks
    Chad

    notebookcheck has temp benchmarks .
If you run notebooks on a flat, hard surface like a desk, you shouldn't see any issues. These notebooks don't draw that much power to cause an overheating issue, and moder i3/i5/i7 cpus have auto thermal regulation and will run slower if it gets too hot.
