Hmm it is strange that these are older than the lenovo drivers presented here which are 2418

aren't these for desktop boards? -
I was thinking that too however when I went to the main download page on intel, went to 'Graphics', then 'Desktop Graphics Controllers', Then 'Intel HD Graphics', it points to 8.15.10.2361 which is the same driver used for Intel HD3000 notebooks graphics if you do a search... I didnt do enough testing as i was strapped on time but it seemed to work great for me.

3DMark 06:
2462 = 5032
Ones from the Lenovo site = 5334
Current ones from Intel site (2361) = 5429 -
Looks like i'll stay with what I have, thanks turned2black.

Rather than start a new thread, i'll post here. Looks like intel issued another update yesterday:
8.15.10.2476

Intel has been good about releasing graphics driver updates these days.
I already gave up on trying to keep up, and just run what works.
-
thanks for the updates
-
These new ones any good?
-
These drivers are not working on my x220...
-
I have them installed on my X220, working fine for me.
-
x64?
8.15.10.2476? -
Yes. Did you follow the guide on my first post?
-
Yes, I know how to update drivers.
When extracting, it LOOKS like it gets to 80% then says :
The driver being installed is not validated for this computer. Please obtain the appropriate driver from the computer manufacturer.
I did do a clean image, if that matters. -
Ya i get that message too however you can go to the directory you chose and all the extracted files should be there
-
It didn't work when I simply ran the driver setup, but it worked when I followed the guide in the first post.
-
I double checked file counts with 7zip, I did extract the proper amount ... no idea why it's not installing. Following the directions, it just says I have the latest, and all I have is 8.15.10.2342 -
I just did the manual install of those latest HD drivers on my x220. They overall brightness levels seem to have increased, with a "0" value looking decidedly un-dim. Not sure if I like this, as I often use my machine in very dark environments.
A. -
Yeah, I finally got mine on too, brightness went up, and in turn, I can turn it down, and get 1-2 watts less usage
-
works great on my x220 still no change with my WEI though
-
-
I ran the 1.5 hour vantage pcmark, and it was roughly the same, maybe went down 50-150 points in the graphics area.
-
8.15.10.2509 released on September 7, 2011. First post updated.
-
anyone tried it yet on X220?
-
-
how is that the Lenovo version driver is higher than Intel's original driver?
which driver should I use? -
Sorry this was for the older i3 Mobile not Sandy Bridge.
-
Don't non-lenovo intel graphics drivers break yalls OSD screen brightness meter?
-
it says your system does not meet the minimum requirement to install this software. i think it's not for intel hd graphics.
