The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Is the new keyboard design on the t400s going to appear on any other lenovo models anytime soon?

    Not on the current generation, that's for sure (they're not swappable). I'm going to venture that the next generation of T-series laptops will have similarly-improved keyboards, but obviously that's not yet known outside of Lenovo.

    In all likelihood, the keyboard of the refreshed Thinkpads be something similar to the T400s's.

    Lenovo keeps stressing how the T400s keyboard is "improved" over the current keyboard, so I don't know why they wouldn't implement it in future models. ;)
