My Dad's company was affected by the ridiculous Lenovo Canada ordering issues earlier this year, but when it came time for me to buy a notebook, I figured they had straightened things out. With the price drop, I ordered on Tuesday.
I have yet to receive any confirmation of my order, although I have spoken with the rep who dealt with my purchase, and another, who both were to resend my confirmation. Still having not received anything, I chatted with another rep this morning. He informed that while my order was indeed in the system, they are having a problem with their automated email confirmation program, and that I shouldn't expect to hear anything before Monday. And no, he couldn't manually send my confirmation (why should people have control over machines I guess?).
Anyone else who ordered in Canada this week having this problem? Should I be worried that this is a sign of problems to come with my order, à la earlier this year? How can something as simple as getting a confirmation of my order be made into such a frustrating and inept process?
Maybe I'm overreacting, but I hope this isn't a sign of things to come, and that the rest of my order goes smoothly and that this isn't a widespread issue. For a company that seems to primarily do their business online rather than retail, Lenovo sure has terrible web support and design.

I ordered Tuesday evening and had no issues
They have your order, that is the main thing. I'd be more worried if they sent you a confirmation but had no record of the transaction. With the recent price drop i'm sure their servers got overwhelmed with orders. -
I ordered a T61 on Monday this week and had no problems. Given the price drops to the newer T series, I think I'm going to cancel this one and start over though. Btw, can you PM me the coupon code you used? The one I was using to price things yesterday seems to have run out and I can't find any of the Canadian ones at the moment. Thanks.

I ordered online yesterday through visaperks, and I got a confirmation within 1 minute of submitting the order.
Call them and ask for your customer number and order number. Verify the specs and shipping/billing addresses with them.
As Canadians, we don't have the luxury of tracking our orders online anyway. Just sit tight and wait 2-3 weeks for the computer to come. -
I received an email confirmation of my order right away. Going to call next week and check the status of my order.

Coupon code: CAXAUGUST16
Otherwise, order through Friends EPP. I found visaperks to be cheaper after the coupon by <20 dollars. -
Yeah, that's the one I was using. I think it has run out now... what does it mean to order through a friend's EPP/how do I do it? Thanks.

This is just my guess but I think first tier service reps cannot send out or change any details regarding your order. If, however, you speak with a sales rep they can send you an e-mail confirmation. (on the telephone option choose the one to make a change to your order #2 I think, it should send you directly to a sales rep). You may have to fake an order change to talk to a sales rep since you will most likely first get routed to a first tier service rep.
Anyways, from my experience of four or so phonecalls to Lenovo, the sales reps do not have an accent whereas the first tier service reps do. -

I don't think its a spam issue, I don't have any filters on that account. Also, it was confirmed to me that the problem is on Lenovo's end, rather than mine. -
Ignore....

I'd like to remind everybody of NBR's EPP/CPP code regulations,
