There is a new two day sale. Look like you can get an extra 15% off the T400, T500, and W500 series. The sale is across the board for all notebooks, so the % discount will vary. The coupon code is USP2DAYSONLY.
Also there a few new options on the T500. Which include two new processors the T5670 and T5870 which are both selling for $9774.(I'm sure those prices will change.) There are a few other new options too, like 4 GB of RAM without having to pick a 64 bit OS.
Check it out.

stackable with epp/cpp?
-
-
Tsk tsk... It's just an employee pricing sale. Nothing you don't see everyday with CPP.
-
I just noticed, on the T400 configuration page (integrated graphics, didn't check dedicate), if you select Vista Business, you have the option of recieving an XP Pro recovery DVD (doesn't say downgrade disc).
-
Coupon not valid for current shopping cart.

Wow, I dind't know they do EPP pricing sales. NOw I don't have to abuse my friends employee ID every year =)
-
Nicely configured T400 for $800 or X200 for $950. The $800 is less than I paid for my R60 a couple years ago, which was a great deal at the time.
Not everyone has access to CPP. -
Actually it really depends on what you have configured the machine at.
If you have chosen the 4GB option, most likely it will be cheaper at the CPP site despite the said % that EPP gives you.
Too bad they also took away most of the warranty options for the T500.. Bummer! -
I made several sample orders. The 2 day discount prices beat student and alumni prices.
A T400 with integrated graphics can be ordered with a 2 year accidental damage warranty at a cost of $199 (before discount).
A T400 with a graphics card can be ordered with a longer 3 year accidental damage warranty for $209 (before discount). -

Doesn't seem stackable with the Canada Student thing...
-
Thanks!
I placed an order last night using the CPP code and will cancel
since this sale saves me about $30 more.
Looks like you have to call to cancel your order, I dont see a place online....?
Thanks,
Sean -
I didn't know you cant return ur laptop when bought with CPP code, thanks for the info anyway
-
I just tried it without the student discount and the final price with that coupons is $1175CAD ($125 less than with the student thing).... and I have the 2.40GHz compared to the 2.26GHz on my student cart!
Sweetness.
eCoupon for canada : CAP2DAYSONLY
BTW: I don't have any different option than yesthurday expect that it come with Vista Business by default! (I downgraded to Vista Basic since I'll do a Clean Install) -
wow.... the sale.. comes EXACTLY to the EPP price (including coupon).. lol
crazy chinese math calculations =) -
only difference is they give you free freight on CPP/EPP/SPP which they dont on normal purchase with 2 day discount.
-
^ that's odd there's free shipping either way for me...
EDIT: would the intel wifi upgrades be worth it? 15$ for the 5100 and 30 (i think) extra for the 5300?
here's what i have configed
comments? will it last me 5 ish years while at school for graphics design? -
hey poo_head, you live in Canada right?
-
Whew, thanks for the heads up, as I placed an order at another site for an X200 this morning. That is order is cancelled, and now I have my x200 order placed at lenovo.com. Expected shipping date is 9/25!

NO W500 series
-
This coupon doesn't include W500
I don't know where you get info about W500 -
I built two T400's today - one using this "sale" and one using EPP. There was a significant price difference between the two, they're not offering EPP pricing through this sale.

Sorry I was quite vague. I built two T400's today simultaneously and selected the exact same specs for each (including 3 yr in-home warranty for each). I came up with a difference of $150+. The T400 I built using the EPP was cheaper than using the link from lenovo.com's website that says "pay what we pay for two days". Hope this helps. I'm just saying its not employee pricing as advertised.

i just bought a t400 with discrete graphics, 4 gigs of ram, 2.8 ghz processor, 9 cell battery and 80 gig harddrive. my ship date is supposedly 9/25/08...also I was thinking about upgrading the harddrive myself i was planning on putting the WD scorpio black 320GB one in it, how hard would that be with a thinkpad? I had to do the same with my macbookpro and i had to remove the entire case which was a pain.

Just have a look of T400 review, you can get more information about T400 -
I don't have access to EPP so I took this deal anyway. Not bad. Been refreshing ecoupon sites for 3 weeks it's about time a good deal came through!

That's great choice if you don't have a CPP code
What's the price of your W500? and the configuration?
I have also ordered a W500 at about 1420$ with 3 year warranty(in tax) -
