    Hi all,

Does anyone know that Lenovo will offer X301 with a new 2010 cpu soon?

    Thanks,

Never seen any detailed info about that one, tho its confusing that it was on leaked roadmaps but with the same model number, i.e. X301 and not 302/310, so i for example have no idea if it is going to be refreshed, never thought about it and it looks like no one did so either :D

Oh I'd kill for an update for x301 now. It's been one and a half yrs, the cpu is getting really old.

With x200 being 30% faster than x301, and x201 being 30-50% faster than x200, the x201 series is like 50-90% faster than x301.

x201 is now the actual flagship (or maybe t410s?), but not x301 anymore.

12 inch is just too small for me now. sigh

12 is little too small for me 13 is perfect i can accept 14 but still 13 is just perfect :)
current X301 cpu is agingly slow i would like to see some i5 i7 with LM in it

I posted the same question a few months back about when the updated X301 will be released. I guess from what I gathered is that the X301 was priced so high that it was never a really profitable item, so I supposed Lenovo will not replace it with anything. That, and the fact that the X301's refresh was not in the lenovo road-map leads me to beleive that the 13" form factor is dead unfortunately, becuase I love my X301, and would love to see a new X310/302, etc. But at this point, doesn't look like its gonna happen any time soon.

sony vaio z is way too expensive (but hey, what else is new for sony products?), given their hardware, i'd say $1100 is normal, and $799 could be a deal. XD

Well, x301 isn't cheap either, which is why the $799-MS-store deal a while ago was so tempting----it instantly went expired when everybody just saw the deal.

My roommate's gf has an earlier version of z, and the screen cracked, so be cautious.

    Hi all,
This may or maynot be helpful.
I was checking out the australian lenovo website, as I am thinking of buying the x301 but also aware of the new x201s and x201.

There is no option of buying the X301 now. Just everything from x100e to X201s. Whereas, other countries still have x301.

I wonder whether this is a sign that they are phasing out the x301 ( ie, never on the "road-map" )

Bit disappointing, b/c, I want to have a 12-13inch notebook with a inbuilt DVD drive reader ( for work ).

    Hope it helps.

    JB

Speaking of the X301, I noticed on the US site, that it now STARTS at like $2100+ USD. I guess it's becuase the 64GB SS HD is no longer an option, and just comes standard with the 128GB SSD. But still, that's withOUT a CD drive, just the travel bezzle.
Oh well, I'm VERY glad I snagged up my X301 when I did.

The x301 refresh probably going to happen sometime next year the roadmap didn't indecate an update [IMG]

The likelihood of Lenovo update the x301 without change the model number is very slim.

    EDIT:
But then again the Edge 14 and 15 is not on this map, or V series

    T410 is thin and light?????
