I tried searching this forum for info about the new budget / performance Z series from lenovo but I couldn't find anything.
Does anybody know anything more about them? It looks like they would be available starting from April at very competitive prices.

Here are some info I found... hopefully you can help me with other info also:

A Romanian (my native language) website that has some nice info about the series (use Google Translate to understand :) ):
Lenovo IdeaPad Z570, Z470, Z370 cu Intel Sandy Bridge | Laptop News

A 13.3 inch with a very good price that would be available in Germany soon:
    Lenovo IdeaPad Z370 M5652GE - 13 Zoll inkl. DVD-Laufwerk

I also attached the datasheet to this post.

LE: There also seems to be a dedicated micro-site for the series on the .com lenovo domain:

I haven't seen any of the Z series, but they're consumer based notebooks, probably about the same as the Dell and HP notebooks that are similarly priced. I don't that any are significantly better or worse than the next. Whether it works out probably comes down to plain old dumb luck more so than anything else, which is some ways kind of takes the fun out of buying one.
