    15.4" 1680 x 1050 LCD
    ATI Mobility Radeon 3650 w/ 256MB
Intel 802.11abg (No idea if this is a 5100 or 5300)
    Bluetooth
    Fingerprint reader and security chip
    Integrated Camera
    Battery pack, 6cell Li-ion ( ill upgrade it to a 9 cell)
Windows XP Professional (Soon to be Vista Premium)

Well done. In comparison to your HP, you’re going to wonder why you ever went with HP once that T500 arrives…

Well I brought it back in 2006 as my first laptop for school. I always wait a generation or two before upgrading anything. I cant wait to get it!

Bought it at a outlet. I guess a company ordered 100 of them and then met the recession bug. Now they are just trying to get money for anywhere they can. I saw one go for 800 bucks earlier.

That is a great deal! Especially with the maxed out CPU, switchable graphics, and self encrypting hard drive (all expensive upgrades).

The one possible lowpoint is the WLAN card. I think you have the Broadcom B/G rather than the Intel 5100/5300. As a result, you won't be able to connect at 802.11N. This shouldn't be a problem though as 802.11G is faster than almost any residential grade internet connection.

The 5300 card is a pretty inexpensive user upgradable part. Check eBay.

Yeah I just found out today that I have the The broadcom card. I've had one of these in the past, man are they horrible. I'll be replacing that as soon as possible. I'll most likely go with a 5300, as they go for 20 bucks online.

Wow I just received this bad boy today, and I was shocked at everything I missed. Not only did it come with the Intel 5300, but also the ATT Wan card also!! Woot Woot. Not even to mention I got Vista Ultimate also! I'm still exploring this bad boy. The LCD screen while beautiful, is BRIGHT!! I could light up a street with this thing. I'm not experiencing any problems with just 2GB so I might not upgrade it.

I still can't believe I got all this for $1075 online. All of it brand spanking new!

    Congratz! Very sweet deal. :)

Good to hear the display is bright. With all the reports of dim and grainy screens, I was starting to worry.

Idk define grainy man, this thing is bright man! Its really clear too. I think maybe because of how bright it is, it might make things appear grainy.

Grainy like you can actually see a grid of pixels (without putting your eye right up to the screen), as opposed to it all blending together to produce a crisp image.

Man, that kind of deal would have saved me enough to add a nice SSD *plus* max'ing out the CPU! Of course you realize that the rules of envy dictate that I must hate you now for getting such a great deal. :p

Nice buy! I think if you are happy with a non-CTO build, buying from an outlet or reseller can sometimes save a lot of money. Every now and then, you will stumble upon an amazing deal. I got mine so dirt cheap that I'm not even bothered by the fact that not all of my specs are the best, but I'd say you got the best of both worlds!

This thing even kicks my desktop's butt. I'm running a Intel E4500 2.2Ghz, 2GB, 8600GTS, my T500 blows it again. I can seriously notice the difference with the cpu, encoding dvd's and such takes only a few minutes compared to half an hours.

Now if I can fix the damm screen. Its seriously like a spotlight. I think that has to be the worst part about this. It keep my gf up all night

Fn+(one of the function keys I believe) adjusts the screen brightness.
