Looks like they have a lot of bug fixes in this version:

Just installed it myself (was using 2.36). It seems to work well.

It added a new option "Enable Instant Resume", but I haven't been able to figure out exactly what this does. It claims to keep your wireless associated for a set period of time (e.g. 10 minutes) for moving between rooms.

Does this mean closing the lid? If I have it put my computer in standby when closing the lid will it stay connected to wireless for 10 minutes? Does anyone have any clues on what exactly this feature does?

Also, I don't understand this "Energy saving wallpaper". It seems to just set your background to white. Isn't this the opposite of energy saving (don't LEDs use less power with a black background)? Does anyone have any tips on this feature as well?

'Instant Resume' simply delays the close lid action, turns off the display and, if set, locks the account.
IR is configurable and can be turned on/off depending on the wi-fi network at hand.
I turned this feature off at home, and left on in office.

    PS
    It was added in 2.41.a.

Great, thanks for the heads up. My T500 actually came with 2.35 - I thought it would have the latest version.

I can't install! Every time I try I get a message stating that a previous version needs to be removed, then nothing happens...

I'm really glad they fixed the transparency with Aero finally.

I didn't like the new Power Manager. It's always trying to go onto the internet.

How can you tell? I don't see any new entries in Task Scheduler or MSCONFIG.

    Can you please elaborate?

Firewall is popping up "Power Manager 2 is trying to get access to the Internet". I figured it was looking for updates, almost every app does nowadays, but couldn't find a way to turn it off.

Ah ok, I should've known. I have mine set to block all programs so I didn't recognize.

Maybe it's the Power Manager DBC Service? Does your firewall let you know which file is executing?

I'm sure it does, but I dumped it in favor of the older version.
